What do I need to do to qualify for the 0.28% AER boost?

You’ll need to:

  1. Deposit at least £5,000 into your Chip General Investment Account (GIA), Stocks & Shares ISA, or a combination of both.

  2. Enter the promo code INVEST5K in the Chip app under ‘Profile’ > ‘Promos and Referrals’ between 20 November and 23:59 5 December 2024.

Who is eligible for this promotion?

To be eligible, you must:

  1. Be a new investor with Chip (i.e. never opened a Chip investment account) OR have a balance of £0 in your GIA and/or Stocks & Shares ISA as of 20 November 2024.

  2. Have a balance of at least £0.01 in your Chip Cash ISA.

How will I receive my boosted Cash ISA rate?

Once your deposit of £5,000 has been made in your Chip investment account, your Cash ISA rate will be boosted by 0.28% AER. This takes the rate to 4.86% AER (variable tracker) for 365 days. if you’re already receiving a boost from a previous offer, this boost will be applied after the current one ends.

When will my boosted rate start and how long will it apply?

Your boosted rate will start after your deposit has been initiated in your investment account, which will take a few days to process. It will remain in effect for 365 days. Please note your deposit can take a few days to arrive but as long as the deposit is pending you will be eligible for the promotion.

What happens if the Chip Cash ISA interest rate changes?

If the underlying Chip Cash ISA rate changes, your AER will also change accordingly, but your 0.28% AER boost will remain the same.

What happens after the 365-day boost period?

After 365 days, your Chip Cash ISA will revert to its standard rate (currently 4.58% AER variable tracker, subject to change).

What if I already have an open Chip investment account?

You’re still eligible. Simply deposit at least £5,000 into your GIA, Stocks & Shares ISA, or a combination of both, and use the promo code INVEST5K within the specified time frame.

What happens if I don’t deposit £5,000?

Unfortunately, if you do not meet the eligibility criteria or fail to complete the required steps within the promotional period, you won’t qualify for the boosted rate.

Where can I check my current rates and boosted rate period?

You can track your current rates and remaining boosted period in the Chip app under your Cash ISA details.

What happens if I’ve previously received a boosted rate from another promotion?
