We’ve been hard at work for the last few months making some changes to both our brand and product to match our growth and align with where we’re heading.
If you’ve taken part in our user testing, brand surveys and feedback recently - a massive thank you for all your valuable feedback!
We’ve done a complete overhaul of the UI of the app, making things clearer, more organised and, we think, much nicer on the eyes!
This UI (user interface - what you see in the app) update really allows us to grow the app in the direction we want, allowing us to introduce all of our new exciting features that are just round the corner. Did someone say investments?
You may notice we have removed the Chipbot tab, a decision that did not come easy! I’m sure most of you are aware that this was one of the most prominent features on the early versions of the app. As we’ve grown, we feel like the old version of chip bot does not serve as much purpose as it originally did, so have decided to remove it from the app. For now.
Will anything replace the Chipbot?
Yes! First off, we will soon be implementing a much improved new notification system that will live on the homepage, notifying you of all important activity across the app.
Secondly, we will be introducing a new tab reserved for our highly anticipated investments product. You’ll be able to see this tab appear very soon as we begin a gradual roll out, gathering feedback and improving regularly to become one of our most exciting features of 2021.
This is a controversial one! Some of you love them… some of you hate them… For now, we’ve decided to remove them across the product. We have a few ideas to bring them back in a slightly different way going forward, so for those who love them, fear not - you may see them return!
We’ve also done a complete (much overdue) update our emails to be more in line with the updated brand. No GIF’s. Clearer execution of how much you’ve saved/withdrawn etc. We’re sure you’ll like them!
We’re always looking to improve the UX (user experience) of the product and are constantly making small tweaks to make using Chip more enjoyable. Here’s what we’ve done in this update:
Over the next few weeks we will be adding more UX improvements to fix a few issues we have seen, so stay tuned!
We hope you like Chip’s new look and are excited for what is to come in 2021. It’s going to be a huge year for Chip! Let us know your thoughts, we’d love to hear what you think and if anything can still be improved.
You’re the best.
