About this fund

A dose of innovation for your portfolio

This fund gives investors exposure to companies at the forefront of medical innovation — from next-gen diagnostics and robotic surgery to gene editing and biotech research. It tracks the performance of global firms developing disruptive healthcare technologies, offering a passive, simple and diversified way to invest in the evolution of modern medicine.

Sector exposure

This fund tracks the STOXX Global Breakthrough Healthcare Index, which includes companies that derive a significant portion of their revenue from healthcare innovation themes, such as:

  • Biotechnology
  • Medical devices and robotics
  • Genomics and diagnostics
  • Digital health and telemedicine

Companies in the index must meet certain criteria, and weight caps are applied to prevent over-concentration in particular companies.

Thematic

This is primarily a thematic fund, as it targets a specific investment theme. It does track an index, making it a passively managed fund, but its index is rule-based, rather than tracking a specific section of the market (like the S&P 500).

Thematic investments don’t tend to give broad market exposure on their own, so should form part of a diverse portfolio.
